ABOUT THE COMPANY

Headquartered in Chicago, Mystery Street Recording is a creative and professional studio for recording, mixing, and mastering. With our carefully selected collection of analog and digital recording gear, and an experienced engineering staff, you’ll walk away with the album you’ve been dreaming of.

We are musicians and performers, so we understand what it is like to be “on the other side of the glass”. We strive to provide a hassle free environment and ensure that your recording session suits your specific needs, giving you the freedom to pull off the performance of a lifetime and have a great time doing it!

Mystery Street offers the city’s best hourly band rehearsal spaces.  All of our rooms come stocked with a full back line so you can just plug in and play. Plus, you earn free recording time for every hour you rehearse! Use the space to practice, write, give lessons, or to simply crank up your amp and bang on some drums without bugging the neighbors!

Recommended by the Library of Congress, our state-of-the-art Audio Preservation Lab is your one-stop-shop for audio preservation, restoration and audio format transfer projects. There is almost no format that we cannot transfer, so bring in your old open reel tapes, DATS, cassettes, vinyl records or 78 records, CDs, wire recordings, and more. The time is now to have your audio cared for by the Midwest’s most trusted preservation facility!

Schedule an appointment to drop off your project, take advantage of our at-home pick up/delivery services or ship your project to us at our our new Audio/Video Preservation Lab location at 347 W Church St in Sandwich, IL!

We also offer many other audio services including studio rental for freelance engineers, voice over recording, audio book production, podcast recording, live sound engineering, gear rentals, in-studio or virtual audio lessons, and karaoke recording parties for kids or adults!

COMMUNITY AND PURPOSE

Mystery Street Recording Company is more than just another business, its a community. We see it like this… if you are making and recording music, our industry will progress and we will all do well; engineers, producers, musicians, venues, labels, and record stores alike. By working together and sharing our talents and resources, we can keep the music industry alive and kicking. What this means for you is that we will do everything we can to help you become successful in the industry and for us, well, we just hope you’ll stay with us along the way.

In the greater community, Mystery Street has partnered with a number of non-profit groups by donating our time, providing raffle prizes, and lending out equipment when needed.

Mystery Meadows– Operated by Mystery Street’s Joe and Kristen Tessone, Mystery Meadows is a non-profit organization building solidarity with nature and animal life through sanctuary, compassion, and outreach.
